URGENT: Update your PDF software today!

Details Exploits in PDF software are happening more and more these days...and customers running older PDF software are at greater risk of infection and worse password theft.

No one likes to get infected with viruses and most people think they are quite safe when browsing Google. If you think about what Google is and what they do you will quickly realize that it was never safe. Google only searches and archives websites. This includes malware websites and even worse legit websites that have been hacked to spread malware, viruses and password stealing pages that look like legit sites.

The new trick for hackers is to hack a legit and popular website and then place their malware and exploits (like a small PDF file) on popular webpages that Google sends people to though popular search results. See the below link for a news report last year. It’s only getting worse.

The user never really knows until it’s too late that they have been infected (if at all). Adobe’s themselves have had over 10 exploits in their PDF reader in the last year.

To help stop the infections please update your PDF software. This is only for Windows based machines and more importantly Windows XP machines. See the page below to begin the update.

If you have Adobe 9 (or later) simple open the PDF software (Called Adobe PDF Reader) and select "Check for updates" under the "About" file Menu.

** APS is not responsible for Adobe software; therefore we are also not responsible for any problems arising from updating your software. If you wish to get support on this subject and speak with a professional please e-mail support@aps-austin.com .
